Fort Myers Spring Training 2026: Red Sox & Twins Guide + Where to Stay

Updated July 18, 2026 · By Blu Luxury Rentals · SWFL Locals

Fort Myers is a spring-training town twice over: the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins both hold camp here every February and March. For fans it's the perfect combo — Grapefruit League baseball by day, a heated pool and Gulf sunsets the rest of the trip. Here's how to plan it in 2026, and why basing yourself in Cape Coral is the smart move.

The Two Teams & Their Ballparks

Boston Red Sox — JetBlue Park ("Fenway South")

A faithful tribute to Fenway Park, complete with its own Green Monster you can sit atop. On Daniels Parkway in south Fort Myers. Red Sox spring games are the hottest ticket in town, so book early.

Minnesota Twins — Hammond Stadium

At the Lee Health Sports Complex on Six Mile Cypress Parkway. A relaxed, fan-friendly park that's easy to get into and great for families and first-time spring-training goers.

When Is Spring Training 2026?

The Season Window

Grapefruit League games in Florida run roughly from late February through late March, with pitchers and catchers reporting in mid-February. Exact 2026 home schedules are released by MLB and the clubs in the fall — check the Red Sox and Twins official sites for game dates before you lock in travel.

Best Weeks to Come

March is peak: warm, dry, and full home schedules. It's also our busiest season, so reserve your rental as far ahead as you can. Prefer smaller crowds? Late February has games and slightly better availability.

Tickets & Game-Day Tips

Buy Early

Red Sox games sell out fast. Buy through the teams' official ticketing when schedules drop; resale prices climb quickly for weekend games.

Parking & Arrival

Both parks have on-site paid lots. Arrive 60–90 minutes early on weekends to watch batting practice and beat the traffic on Daniels Parkway and Six Mile Cypress.

What to Bring

Sunscreen, a hat and water — afternoon sun in the stands is no joke. Both parks have shaded and berm/lawn seating if you want to spread out.

Make a Day of It

Pair a day game with dinner in the Fort Myers River District or a sunset back on the water.

Getting There

Fly Into RSW

Southwest Florida International (RSW) is 15–25 minutes from both ballparks and about 30–40 minutes from our Cape Coral homes. Full details in our airport & getting-here guide.

Rent a Car

You'll want one — the ballparks, beaches and restaurants are spread out, and there's no rail transit here.

Why Stay in Cape Coral for Spring Training

Close, but Quieter

Cape Coral is a 20–30 minute drive to both stadiums but far calmer (and often better value) than hotels clustered near the parks.

Room for the Whole Crew

Traveling with buddies or family? A private pool home beats a row of hotel rooms — everyone under one roof, with a grill and a hot tub for after the game.

Book Direct & Save

Spring training is prime season, so skip the platform fees. See why booking direct beats Airbnb and lock your dates before they're gone.

Make our place your spring-training basecamp — pool, hot tub and Gulf sunsets, 20–30 minutes from JetBlue Park and Hammond Stadium. See the full portfolio or start with Marina Blu (5BR), Captain Blu, or Blu Shell.
